While working as a bellman at the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, Luke saw firsthand how ineffective the provided doorstops were. They slipped, popped out of the door and did not meet the luxury standards of the hotel he was proud to work at.
THE IDEA
With a background in railroad mechanics and a degree in Fire Sciences, Luke knew the importance of having the right tool for the job. He knew he could build something better — safer, stronger, and actually useful on the job.
THE PROTOTYPE
Using his 3D printer at home, Luke created a compact, hinge-mounted doorstop that stayed put. No slipping. No bending. No floor contact.
THE BUZZ
Coworkers noticed. First bellmen and valet asked for one. Then housekeeping placed a bulk order. The Hingelock Mini was born — and it quickly became standard issue across the hotel.
